Meet Our Design Center Manager!
Gracemark Homes designer Haley Kenney loves working with our customers! After graduating from Texas A&M University, Haley worked on the vendor side of construction but quickly realized her true passion was design and customer service. “Meeting with homebuyers and helping them walk through the design process brings me great satisfaction. Seeing an actual home built from the dirt up is so personal and I feel a connection to each customer.”
Haley has seen the industry evolve over the years, especially in the 55+ market. “There has been a trend of builders churning out homes and giving people very few design options. Gracemark understands that our buyers are much more educated coming to us with extremely high standards. We set the bar high to exceed their expectations by taking the time to listen to what they want and offering them tons of design options for each room. Having our own in-house design studio is not only convenient but was essential during the lockdown allowing customers to make selections in a socially distanced environment and stay on schedule.”
With more people staying home over the past year, Haley has seen an increase in requests for outdoor kitchens, living spaces, screened-in porches, and more options for home offices. “Customers care as much as we do about the quality and affordability of the construction and design features going into their homes. There is a huge focus on ease of maintenance, smartphone-compatible home automation, and artful design elements such as beautiful office doors with semi-private glass that look like a piece of furniture adding both style and functionality to the design.”
For Haley, her favorite part of working with Gracemark customers is “at this point in their life, they have experienced enough to know what they want and are able to take the time to slow down and enjoy the design process. They do not have to rush, and it ultimately gives them peace of mind knowing that they have made the right selections to meet their needs both financially and from a design standpoint. I enjoy getting to know them, their families and watching them make friends in the community as they go through the building process.”
